OUR STORY
The Healing Circle is a community based organization dedicated to the healing of childhood sexual violence. The Healing Circle was created to serve children in Clatsop County who are survivors of sexual abuse.
Since 1988, The Healing Circle has provided Victory Over Child Abuse (VOCA) Camps. VOCA Camps provide safe, fun healing experiences for child survivors. Two annual camps are held.
As additional funding is available, various year-round services are available to VOCA Campers.
The Healing Circle also contributes to breaking the silence of sexual violence by providing free community education. Our community education program, which also serves as volunteer training, is open to all safe community members. By providing people in the community more education about the dynamics of sexual abuse, we hope to create an atmosphere of safety and understanding for survivors, and knowledge to help in the prevention of child abuse.
